How To Make Dreadlocks On Straight Hair Using a Crochet Needle

Starting dreadlocks on straight hair takes practice but using products to help hair hold while backcombing helps a great deal. Dreadlock Products and Tools you will need. View the video and notice the way the stylist holds the crochet needle.

I have used this technique and can tell you that you can hurt yourself until you get enough practice or in enough pain from the scratching. My point is for you to pull the hair in and out with pulling and pushing movements without stabbing your fingers.

No worries you will get the hang of making dreads on straight hair on your first head.
