The wave method is done after your hair has been shampooed or has been shampooed not long ago. While still damp you can add setting mouse and hair moisturer to freshly shampooed hair before braiding.
If hair is already dry, you can add styling mouse or foam to the dreadlocks right before braiding each one. You will secure each braid with a small rubber band.
