Dreadlock Maintenance On Skinny Dreads

When Can Dreadlocks Be Too Small?

There are a lot of beautiful dreadlocks styles on all types of people. Who is to say what is right or wrong to another person that has their own unique taste. I will however tell you my opinion as a stylist that has dreaded and braided all types of hair in my over 25 years of experience.

Dreadlocks that are small and have large partings are not as appealing as smaller partings. The large parting make the dreadlocks look unkempt faster and amateur. Larger partings with the appropriate size dreadlocks is very appealing and is faster to re twist but may take longer to dry.

Thin Dread Concerns

Smaller dreadlocks can also break faster if pulled or if undernourished. This is the most problematic issues wearers of small dreadlocks have.

Small dreadlocks can still be repaired the same as the larger ones. Remember to always clean and moisturize your beautiful locs to maintain their strength and good health.
