How To Moisturize and Keep Bleached Dreadlocks Healthy

Keeping bleached dreadlocks healthy is not an easy task to some. But if you regularly treat your beautiful locks like a helpless baby they will stay with you forever.

What Type of Shampoo should I use  for Bleached Hair
Always use sulfate free shampoos or condition type washes for natural hair. Most importantly you will have to shampoo and rinse you locs well. I wrote about how I use rice water to strength my locs.

  1. Keep clean and thoroughly dry. Microfiber towels absorb water well. Use very little heat in hair. Cover hair with umbrellas, hats and scarves to protect from too much sun exposure.
  2. Moisturize scalp and spray moisturizers onto locs.
  3. Cover with plastic cap two hours a day; twice weekly or more with moisturizers.
  4. Always sleep with locs covered and protected.
  5. Never use tight styles
